This process allows the client to have an exclusive team of research and recruitment professionals as well as a project manager assigned from the very beginning of the project until well after the candidate is placed with your firm. Typically in this scenario, the fees can range from 30-35% of the base salary with 1/3 of it due at signing, 1/3 due upon the presentation of candidates, and the final 1/3 due upon hiring one of our candidates. If your search is of a critical nature, time sensitive and requires immediate resources, then this structure may be the best option.
Modified Retained Search
This type of engagement enables us to assign a project manager to oversee and manage this process from beginning to end. Although it is not exclusive in nature, it does allow us to decide which recruiters will be assigned this project resulting in a semi-exclusive engagement. The fees are paid as follows: 1/3 due upon signing and the remaining 2/3 due upon selection of one of our candidates.
This search process seems to be the most popular with many of our clients that are not seeking senior level leadership/management and that understand the recruitment team will be working on multiple searches simultaneously. Your project will still be assigned to recruiters and this process will receive our undivided attention. Fees are typically a percentage of the first year salary within the Search Agreement and paid at the time one of our candidates has been hired.
